Maghreb Center INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Program details:
The Maghreb Center offers Spring/Summer internships in Washington DC.
Internships may be tailored to the individual interests of the interns, where their skills support the mission of the Maghreb Center. Internships may include:
> Conducting research on North Africa-related issues as agreed-upon with, and under the supervision and guidance of the Maghreb Center internship program director. Possible research topics can be found in the Maghreb Center Student Blog;
> Meeting once a week in a seminar setting to discuss current issues in North Africa, and participate in academic discussion related to their main area of research and share/discuss their internship experiences;
> Making contributions to the Maghreb Center Student Blog in the form of short essays or papers dealing with topics related to their research endeavors;
> Participating in the organization of Maghreb Center events;
> Meeting with Maghreb countries’ diplomats, journalists, politicians, NGO representatives, and business professionals, when available.
> Internship is unpaid, and takes place in Washington DC at a partner organization’s headquarters: the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, 1730 M St., NW, Suite 503, Washington, DC 20036.
