Libya in the Global Age                                                                         

A unique dialogue on democracy in Libya between Muammar Gaddafi and political scientists  Benjamin Barber and Anthony Giddings, moderated by renowned journalist Sir David Frost, organized on March 2nd 2007, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the announcement of the People’s Authority in Libya.

Libya and America:

Washington recently announced its intention to remove Libya from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, paving the way for full diplomatic relations. The Bush administration hopes Iran and North Korea will follow in Libya’s footsteps. David Goldwyn, former assistant secretary of energy for international affairs under the Clinton administration, and Hafed Al-Ghwell, a Libyan American member of the Maghreb Center, discuss the political and economic implications of the decision with host Carol Castiel.
